Thank you so much :) there is also a real satisfaction about letting other people ruin themselves after you’ve done everything you can- I think the satisfaction comes from taking a step back finally which I am learning to do :)
I'm still connected to my person through our two kids, so it's not so clean and satisfying and just letting her "drown". There's a synchronicity in finding your poem this week as I've started to move forward from (passively) being able to not rescue her to (actively) setting strong boundaries and holding them without fear of inevitable conflict. I guess it's like holding her above water long enough to tell her to get her shit together and then letting her go again to sink or swim by herself
